Alternate Adobe InApp Installation

If you are experiencing difficulty installing the Adobe InApp through the traditional method (see article: Install Adobe InApp via Creative Cloud) please follow these instructions or see your IT department for additional help. 




Begin by downloading: Manual Adobe Extension File





*Mac Users File Path to unzip Extension: 

  • Mac: /Users/**username**/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/

Alternate InApp Extension Installation

Manual Zip Install Method

  1. Navigate to your Downloads folder.
  2. Select View then check Hidden items.
  3. You may need IT Department permissions.
  4. Right-click the msi-courseware file.
  5. Select "Send to", then "Compressed (zipped) folder".
  6. Ignore any zipping warning message.
  7. Right-click the Zip file and select "Extract All".
  8. Select "Browse".
  9. Select Local Disk (C:).
  10. Select the Users folder.
  11. Select your Username folder.
  12. Select the AppData folder.
  13. Select the Roaming folder.
  14. Select the Adobe folder.
  15. Select the CEP folder.
  16. Open the Extensions folder.
  17. Click "Select Folder" to extract here.
  18. Extract the compressed files to:
    This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Users > [Your Username] > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > CEP > extensions
  19. Show extracted files when complete.

The msi-courseware file is now manually installed in compatible Adobe Applications.
Restart any Adobe Applications before opening the extension.

Opening the Extension

  1. Open the Extension in Adobe Application.
    Select: Window > Extensions (Legacy) > MSi Courseware

ZXP Installer Method (Alternate)

  1. Download the ZXP Installer from the provided link (may require IT permissions).
  2. Download the msi-courseware file.
  3. Navigate to Downloads folder.
  4. Double click the msi-courseware file.
  5. The ZXP Installer window opens.
  6. Follow the prompts to install the extension.
  7. Restart the Adobe Application.
  8. To open the extension, select: Window > Extensions (Legacy) > MSi Courseware
